Hi,
My name is Daniel Hilsinger. I hope you may be able to help me attend and fight for you and our candidate Bernie Sanders in Philadelphia at the Democratic National Convention this July 25-28. I don't like asking for money, but I'm asking for your help because I have not been able to work for the past month and a half because of a painful tumor in my left tibia.
I stand with Bernie Sanders because I believe the status quo is not good enough for 99% of the US population. I will fight for real change. We need to push Big Money out of politics. Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege. Millions of people are uninsured or underinsured. Inequality is at a record high. Families are broken up due to our inhumane immigration policy. Our justice system is highly flawed and racially discriminatory. Climate change will disproportionally affect those with lower incomes. The carbon in our atmosphere does not care about economic costs— it does not negotiate.
We need drastic change now, not incremental steps. Our current politicians our shamefully misrepresenting our needs.

Breakdown of costs —
- Airfare: $600 RT from SFO To PHL
- Bart to and from SFO airport: $20
- Shuttle to and from PHL airport: $110 roundtrip
- Hotel: $325 x 5= $1625 (The most basic rooms available are $650/night at the hotel for the DNC and we are required to stay there, I've cut the cost in half because I am sharing a room with another delegate)
- Food and Incidentals: $450
- DNC registration: $200
