HI my name is Devorah,
I have been involved in outreach and community work for close to 20 years. I am a motivational speaker and love to inspire others to connect to themselves, each-other, life, love and G-d - beyond all.. Because of my position, i receive calls or emails almost everyday from women who are struggling financially.. My heart breaks that i cant afford to help them all as much as they need and as much as i would like to:
If you know me you know that I am a G-d fearing Jew, all donations will be given DIRECTLY to the people in need.
Here are a few of the "cases" im working on currently:
*A 70 year old woman who is living alone abandoned by her children- about to be evicted from her home, with no income and noone who takes interest in her life.. Struggling with diabetes, no health insurance and is in dire need of an eye exam as her vision is deteriorating.
**A sweet balei teshuvah couple that are both working long hours to make ends meet but are constantly falling short. Every month they must choose between buying food or paying the electric bill..
***A woman who has gone through much trauma in her life is having suicidal thoughts and is harming herself . must get a psych evaluation and the treatment she needs asap..
****An elderly couple ( mid seventies) who have lost their apartment due to unforeseen circumstances and are now struggling to work very difficult physical work to make ends meet. They struggle with rent and the husband's health is very poor, has very little lung usage left. Doctor said that his lungs are of a 100 year old man- extremly limited in his breathing.
I know from my own experiences - that sometimes , even with all of the causes out there, its hard to know where to donate your maaser or tzedaka money, I would always rather give the money directly to the families in need - then go through a large non profit org. as a big chunck of the money goes to the upkeep of the organization rather then directly to the people in need.
This is a real cause that I personally am in charge of . I will keep this fundraiser updated with new developments on all of the lives that you are helping to change.
Maaser money can be used for this .
EVERY DOLLAR WILL GO A LONG WAY!
