Deuces *IRELAND* 2019

Wilkes Barre Scranton Roller Derby is Northeast Pennsylvania’s premier women’s flat track roller derby league. Our league is a non-profit corporation run by strong, intelligent women from our community. Since our inception in 2009, our mission has always been to deliver a STRONG, positive, athletic image in both our league and our community. We pride ourselves on being positive role models for everyone, but especially girls and women. WBSRD has several teams within our league, and today I am honored to be writing on behalf of The Low Rolling Deuces. On the Low Rolling Deuces, we strive every day to embrace all the best aspects of our fast-paced, quickly-growing sport. We welcome women from all walks of life and all levels of skill. We believe in nurturing a fun but competitive environment where women can grow as skaters and as people.

The Low Rolling Deuces typically play teams in the tri-state area. During our 2018 season, we have traveled to upstate New York, New Jersey, and all around our wonderful home state of Pennsylvania. In June 2019, we plan to expand our horizons by traveling to Dublin, Ireland! We have arranged to play The Dublin Roller Derby League in our very first international game of roller derby. We are thrilled for the exposure this will bring our team, the great competition, and for the opportunity to make a name for ourselves and for Northeast Pennsylvania.

Because we are a self-run, nonprofit corporation, our organization relies heavily on fundraising and the generosity and support of people like you.  We would love any support to help make our international dreams a reality!
