Design Build: V Pavilion

Donation protected
We are a team of students from the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture. Our mission is to design and build a multi-use community space in the town of Loiza, Puerto Rico.

After the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017, there are still quite a few small communities generally underserved. Loiza is one of those few. Building a community space in this area allows for the citizens to socialize and gather under one roof.

Aside from benefiting the community, this project in turn benefits us as well. For us this is a crucial way to learn the process in which a design goes from paper to building.

The money raised will be used to purchase the materials for the building project. The hope is that we can reach our fundraising goal by early June of 2018. This is the time in which we will be traveling to Loiza to start construction.
