DEXO presents 2047, a collection of four operas, created by four teams, held together by one unifying factor: a day, a year, a location-- March 27, 2047, here on the Wasatch Front. None of the teams have disclosed information about their work to any other team. This process allows a large collective of artists to create and harmonize distinct, even divergent, readings of the future into a single, multivalent event.

Bio:
Deseret Experimental Opera debuted its first full-length opera in 2013 at the Nelke Experimental Theater. Since then the group has produced eleven works by local composers, performers, visual artists, musicians, and choreographers. This body of work contains staged operas, bike operas, installation operas, house show operas, improvised operas, book operas, and garage operas. We will continue to create new work and new ways of working.
