Deputy injured in police chase

Donation protected
On March 24, 2018, my husband was seriously injured in a car accident related to a police chase. He was attempting to position his vehicle in hopes to intercept the suspect, who was traveling the wrong way on a one way road, in case he came towards the intersection. At that time, my husband was t-boned by a large SUV, newer style Suburban. Due to the severity of the damages to his patrol vehicle, the fire department used the jaws of life to cut the driver side door off to remove him safely from the vehicle. According to ER staff, he has a broken pelvis (multiple fractures), several broken ribs and is limited to (maximum) 50% mobility on the left side.

We have no absolute date as to when we will be discharged from the hospital and sent home. During the first 6 weeks of recovery, he will be using a walker. After the first follow up appointment with the  orthopedic doctor, it will determined when he can begin physical therapy. At this time, his expected time off work is minimum of 12 weeks. This traumatic experience has been violently rough on our family as we have 3 small children at home and one on the way! Although he is going to have a long road to recovery, we are blessed he is still here with us. Things could have ended much worse...

All funds donated will be used for living expenses and medical necessities related to his recovery.

From the bottom of our hearts, we genuinely appreciate your generous donations. Finances for a 5-person family is going to be extremely hard during this difficult time. If you cannot financially help at this time, please know your prayers are just as needed and we are forever greatful for the support you all have shown us. Nonetheless, I will continue to update as we know more information.

Thank you beyond words in advance. ❤️
