Dental surgery for Cocoa

Donation protected
I have a thirteen year old pekingese named Cocoa. I've had her since she was two years old and a Humane Society rescue animal who was neglected by her original owner. I'm currently unemployed and living with my elderly mother. Recently Cocoa started coughing and then on Saturday the right side of her face swelled. I called the Humane Society this morning and they authorized a vet visit.

The vet said she has an abscessed back tooth and very severe dental disease that will require surgery and several tooth extractions. The itemized estimate she gave me is $1068.01. She recommended I try applying for carecredit but without a job there's no chance I'd get approved for it.

She said without the surgery the disease will only get worse and could spread to other parts of her body. She said if I couldn't afford the surgery I would have to consider 'other options'...in other words, to put her to sleep. She sent me home with a two week supply of antibiotics (which the Humane Society paid for) for her, but said the chances are good it would come back once she was off them.

She's the sweetest dog and has been one of the constant sources of joy in my life for eleven years now. If there's any possible way I can save her, I want to fight for it. If anyone could please help me, I'd be forever grateful. She's my baby and I don't know what I'll do if I have to put her down just because I don't have the money to pay for her surgery.
