Denise is an ex-Marine and retired police officer. She is currently a professor, teaching and sharing her passion for law enforcement and public service. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in July. It's stage 4, inoperable and very difficult to treat.
She lives in Orlando, but there are only 12 oncologist in the United States who specialize in her specific type of cancer- she has been accepted as a patient at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Denise has dedicated her life to serving others in her community and our country. She is always doing whatever she can to help others- even at her own expense. For the last three months she has been unable to work while the doctors have determined what the best approach for her will be.
She will have multiple flights back to Mayo and depending on the approval of a specialized radioactive treatment, could be traveling to Europe for the only treatment known to actually cure this beast.
We are asking for your help. She needs help to recover from the last three months out of work. She needs help with future flights to Mayo for her treatments and she needs help with medical expenses.
She also needs prayers. She needs prayers for relief from the consistent pain. She needs prayers that the FDA approves the ONE drug that will keep her alive and she needs financial assistance to keep stress from furthering the advance of this horrid disease.
