DeMarcus,Kambrel & Mace - Fire Relief Support

Just 8 Days before Christmas, The Walker family suffered a devastating fire in their apartment, destroying over 90% of their belongings either by way of fire, water & smoke damage.

Thank God no one was hurt or injured. The entire family is safe and accounted for.

Thanks to some quick thinking from the Chandler Fire Dept, a laptop, a charger, and 2 backpacks were saved,

But other than that everything else was ruined. 

The purpose of this  GoFundMe is twofold:

1) To help DeMarcus and his boys bridge the gap between when the insurance funds will come in, so they can start to replace their belonging and what are they supposed to do in the meantime.

All the various entities involved have "open investigations" right now, so no telling how long that process will take. 


Thanks to the help of the community (Chandler Fire Dept., American Red Cross and I'm sure many of you that are reading this now) they've made it through the last few nights. 

2) Which brings me to the second reason for this campaign.

Many of you have expressed a major interest in wanting to help.

And at this moment in time, the biggest way to help is by using this site.

We definitely love the thoughts and prayers, but a few tens and twenty's would really help out too.


Despite the horrible accident and the unfortunate timing of this event, the family is in good spirits as they wrap the heads around how to get through this. 

So any help you can give will help them just get back to normal. Which is all they want.  

There is no small amount.

My heart goes out to Kambrel, who  literally lost EVERYTHING he owned and cherished.

It is all  GONE! 


And for a young man at his age, that can be a heavy weight on his little shoulders.

Nothing he had survived. Not his shoes, clothes, sports gear (he plays football AND baseball), pictures, posters, tv, gaming consoles, trophies, bed, bedding, coats, saved memorabilia, etc and the list keeps going.

They are set to move into a new apartment, hopefully within the week (that's where we need those thoughts and prayers to get that date pushed up faster), but they will have NOTHING to move in with.


And only as DeMarcus can, when relaying the apartment information to me, he simply stated, in jest

"Shoot, we'll be ready to move in WHENEVER they have a place for us, because we don't have anything to move in with anyway."

That throw away statement he made while being himself, hit me the hardest and pushed me to create this account.

As I sit around and on all my "things" all I can picture is him moving in his 2 little boys into an apartment with nothing in there :(

So that's the main purpose of this GoFundMe. To help them have something to move in with. 

We are looking to fund this account so they can get the basic essentials once their new apartment is ready to move in:

Beds,  sheets, pillows, clothes, socks, shoes, undergarments (a.ka. drawls), couch, dining table, toothpaste, razor ( for that baby Rick Ross shag on his face), some BoSox Tshirts, to replace those Stankees gear he walks around in,  etc. 

Just think of all the stuff you go to the store for. All that stuff. 

Then think of the first thing you do when you get home. Are you standing the whole time? Where do you plop down at the end of the day? 

Well, they don't have that either.

If you can't donate, I get it and no problems or worries. If you can just at least share this with your inner circle to help this unselfish man and my brother get back on their feet.

(I better not see those new Yezzy's on those feet...or is it Ye's? It sounds like Yeazy, but I'm not sure. Doesn't he make like little baby shoes now or something?) ...anyways.
