DanceAfrica Miami: Masqueradology

Tax deductible
DanceAfrica, Miami presented by Delou Africa's 9th annual African Diaspora Dance & Drum Festival of Florida (A.D.D.D.F.F) is in jeopardy!

Florida legislators in Tallahassee has cut funding to the arts. One of our festival grants that is funded by Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs, named “Culture Builds Florida" was cut.

Delou Africa, Inc. is a community based cultural arts non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We preserve African heritage influenced by the presence of the African Diaspora. We create and facilitate year-round artistic education programs for children and adults. These programs are developed by a collective of professional artists and educators who are committed to providing a continuous platform to showcase and educate our community and the general public on the rich traditions of Africa through dance, drum, music, art and history.

Our event will be held on August 3-5, 2018 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex where we are artists-in-residence located in Miami, Florida.
Our festival expands cultural engagement through a variety of program components for the entire family.

Participants enjoy:

-African Contemporary and Caribbean dance, drum and music workshops

-A Fashion Show

-Yoga

-The Better Living Health Fair

-A Symposium

-Beach Events

-An Artisan Marketplace,

-A FREE Children's Village (featuring dance, drum, arts & crafts, African folktale, and a back to school book bag give-away)

-Our festival Concert Extravaganza features national and local renowned dance, drum and music artists all performing on DanceAfrica, Miami’s main stage which is historically sold out.
