De'Andranique Minus was an avid 11th grade student at St. Augustine's College in Nassau, Bahamas. Her dream is to become a future track and field olympian for The Bahamas. However, whiles her dream is still alive, her life has taken an unexpected turn.
In July of 2018, Dede began having unbearable stomach pains. After being given numerous diagnoses from doctors; her father, D'Angelo Minus felt that there was something more serious wrong. After taking her to a local hospital, it was discovered that she had stage 2 ovarian cancer. Doctors took her into surgery to remove the mass. The pain continued even after the surgery. They took another look and it was discovered that some of the cancer was left. Doctors suggested chemotherapy and the spill would be taken care of, but little Dede's body did not respond too well to the treatment.
Recently, with the pain increasing, Dede began to lose hope with all of her big dreams. Her family thought to take her on a trip to clear her mind. During the trip (where they are presently) her pains increased. They rushed her to the nearest hospital in Florida where they looked at her history and current condition. Doctors discovered tumors on her liver now and suggests that a surgery is needed urgently. In fact, They would like to perform surgery within the next 48 hours.
Dede's father and family members are hopeful that she would get better, but they really need the financial assistance. They are asking for help from anyone who is moved by Dede's story as the hospital would need funds to start the process. The price quoted to the family for such surgery and treatment is $100000 plus funds for treatment.
