Send Deb Home With A Housewarming Gift She Needs!

Hello Deb’s friends & family:
As you know, for the past two and a half months, Deb has been recovering from a debilitating stroke. She spent two weeks in intensive care in South Carolina, a month at Spaulding Charlestown, and over a month in a rehab facility in Jamaica Plain. Visits from friends and family over these many weeks have meant so much to her.
With incredible determination, focus and motivation, Deb has been teaching herself to stand up, walk independently, balance while handling daily tasks, speak fluently and use her left arm.
On April 1, Deb will move to her new permanent apartment with an elevator in a senior housing development with resident services, run by a wonderful nonprofit.
To help ensure her safety and support her recovery, her Physical Therapist has recommended that she buy a sturdy reclining chair with a lift that will support her in standing up. As a surprise, Deb's friends & family are joining together to help her buy this chair as a housewarming gift. On Friday, March 22, we will surprise her with a card listing the names of everyone that contributes toward the chair. We aim to have the chair delivered to her new home on March 30 before she moves in. Donations of any size are most welcome and appreciated.
