DDOC to Hand Deliver to Tanzania

Donation protected
My name is Maura Secrest and I am a freshman at Sullivan High School in Sullivan, Indiana. When I was twelve years old I felt the call of God telling me to take my stand, and make a difference in this often cruel world.
After hearing His call, I knew I would have to obey. So I started the mission DDOC, which stands for Dresses for Daughters of Christ.  I share the mission of DDOC at local churches and organizations, and ask them to become involved. Many choose to support my mission by sewing simple dresses that we will  send out to other countries with missionaries. Others have donated fabric. Some have made monetary donations that have helped me keep sewing supplies on hand and pay for postage to ship some dresses on ahead to the orphanages and missionaries.
DDOC has been a living mission for two years now. With the help of the wonderful people of my community, well over 1,600 dresses have been sewn and delivered. Surprisingly enough, of those 1,600 dresses, I have only sewn one. I am not a seamstress, but I just followed God's calling and have been amazed how everything has happened. God is so good.
In December of this year, I plan to make one of my biggest dreams a reality. I  will be taking my first mission trip ever to the Illula Orphanage in Tanzania, Africa for three weeks. I will be personally delivering DDOC's dresses to the little girls in the orphanage and evangelizing with the people there.  The orphanage exists mostly to help little girls who have become orphans due to having families that are affected by the AIDS virus.
My parents agreed to let me go and have paid for my airfare. I need $2,200 additional funds to pay for my required vaccinations, malaria medication, travel documentation, in-country lodging and transportation to the orphanage, as well as additional airline costs to take my guitar with me so I can use it for worship services while there.
Going on a mission trip has been a dream of mine for a long time. Thank you in advance to all of you who feel God calling you to support my DDOC mission. You have no idea how much your generosity means to me! I'm still in awe of the power of God and the path He is leading me on.

                         God Bless,
                                    Maura Secrest
