Hey everyone! Calling reinforcements for my brother, Justin, and his girlfriend, Lavinia! They’ve just had a traumatic experience and could use our help. Anything you can do would be absolutely amazing. Together, we can get them back on their feet!
On the morning of Friday, May 17th Justin Craig and Lavinia Jones Wright lost their home of 10 years to a fire.
They made it out safely along with their dog Louisa. And thankfully all of the residents of the building were safely evacuated. But in the process of putting out the fire almost all of their possessions and their apartment were destroyed.
They were able to reenter the building briefly and retrieve their musical instruments and a few clothing items and possessions. But a lot was lost including electronics, furniture, clothes, most of their possessions and the apartment they had lived in for a decade.
Nearby friends and family have taken them in for the weekend and are helping them try to retrieve some personal items from the building. And now they are facing the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.
In the coming months they will need to find a place to live and replace almost everything they owned. Any help is greatly appreciated. It will help with the cost of living and replacing their lost possessions, and will make it possible for them to find a new home.
Anyone who came to Justin and Lavinia's house knew it was a place full of warmth, hundreds of dinners were had there, so much music was made there, so many people stayed there along their journeys. It was so much more than just an apartment because of the family that surrounded it.
Any help would be incredibly appreciated. Let's help out one of the kindest, loveliest couples on the planet. We love you, J&L!!
