On March 7th, the Silverman's luck and well being took an EXTREME turn for the worse!! Some things most people close to us already know about. However, for the few and far apart that don't know how bad the struggle has already been will now know after reading this how things have gone from bad to absolutely impossible for at least the past 5 years, actually even longer then that!!! However the past few months have been impossible and we need help! We've always been that family that worked it out somehow fighting tooth and nail together but right now we've hit rock bottom and without help we will lose everything including our home of the past 23 years!! It's hard enough realizing where the next meal is coming from but without our home, without all of your help we will have no where to go!! Even the littlest bit will help!!
First, Jenna's health took a turn for the worst that has caused her to go on Social Security and has forced her to need to live at home with the family and the hospital has become her 2nd home. Due to her health issues and some other unfortunate situations her mental stability has become extremely unstable so Btw her physical and mental health she is incapable of living in the norm...consisting of even just taking care of herself let alone being able to help the household the way she used to! Even worse they don't know if anything will work to get her under remission after already being on 2 dozen pills a day that don't even work anymore! And is recently starting all over with new doctors, however each doctor wants her to go on a medication that could stop her from having the family she has dreamed of since she was a little kid!!! So it's a struggle to chose the right course of treatment!!
Then Adam needed to take a break from college because he could not pay his next tuition which had set him back on his dream of joining the military after getting his degree however he is limited to the jobs he can get due to distance since we had no choice to sell our trucks [which our trail blazer was sold while sitting in their lot for a little while and with no phone call even, it was sold with all of our stuff still inside it!!]and had to get one family car so he has been limited to where he can get a job that he can only work part time which doesn't even cover his cell phone bill ESP during the winter when he is laid off from his full time job!
As if that wasn't enough Richard [Pappa Bear] has been struggling with his own list of health issues including Having to have 2 stints and a balloon in his heart, dealing with his Colitis and diabetes and then he is still having lots of tests done to see if some of his other health issue may be the start of MS which has been really scary to deal with at his age! He also seems to be hospitalized every 8-9 months for weeks at a time! While his welfare contribution helps with some bills the government does not pay enough to pay the really important bills like the mortgage..,
So Carol [known by everyone as a.k.a ma dukes] has been taking care of our 4- person family home
[which due to a storm a few years back has become a huge project to fix.., but insurance has not covered even half of what it was supposed to so it's a disaster area with furniture piled and things in boxes, an entire wall missing, holes dripping in ceilings, walls not painted, and WITH SUMMER COMING WE DONT HAVE EVEN ONE WORKING AIR CONDITIONER and that's all for starters]
... but while we really need all this stuff done... More important at the moment is that we be able to keep this house as a roof over our head, food on the table, be able to pay for our medications and medical bills etc which if we don't get help soon WE WILL LOSE EVERYTHING and since the rest of us having to stop working. Ma Dukes has been on her own, taking care of everything on her own for the most part. But even then we were living pay check to pay check!!
Then on that date in March Ma Dukes was admitted to Abington Memorial Hospital and after being hospitalized for 3 weeks, they discovered that her Crohn's Disease after at least five years or more has come out of remission!!
During this time, and for an unknown amount of time, she has had to stop working and we do not know when she will be able to return. Leading up to the hospitalization and during, she used up ALL of her vacation and sick time that was available to her at the time! Because of this there is no income coming in so things are extremely tight to the point that the we not only have our normal bills but now medical bills to pay and NO WAY to pay them!
WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET!! We need all the prayers we can get as well!! This is not an easy thing to do...however sometimes you just need to break down and realize you have no other choice so we are setting up this page to help us with these bills, medical expenses, and everyday expenses [i.e food] that are piling up and that we have no means to pay any of and no way other way to get these means unfortunately!! Every little bit can go along way and help desperately! So we ask you please if you can help in anyway at all we would greatly appreciate it more than you know!! And whether you can help or not donation wise if you could at least pass this along to your friends and family we desperately need all the help we can get and as quickly as possible!!
