We are Seconda Prat!ca , a young music ensemble dedicated to finding a modern voice for Early Music!
This coming March, Seconda Prat!ca joins Splendor in bringing to you a celebration of history and performance in the first ever Amsterdam Early Music Day !
Concerts , workshops , exhibitions and talks will let you engage and explore the connections of music and the theme of this years's edition: Historically Informed Storytelling (H.I.STory for short!).
It will be a vibrant event, hosted by the fabulous Claron Mc Fadden and joined by representatives of some of the most important musical institutions of our day. Also it will give an opportunity for the newest ensembles to present novel concert experiences and to create new spaces for the promotion of our common musical heritage.
What is so exciting about this event is that will allow a new generation to begin developing and producing events which provide new experience for all types of history and music lovers.
We will also have a strong focus on the new technologies which allow us to host an event in Amsterdam and share it with all the corners of the world. We already have friends from Japan, Canada and Australia ready to join the festivities and to listen to the many different genres we have in our agenda.
But for all of this we need help.
Producing this event requires financial means with which to rent the concert space, invite and pay for all the musicians involved, organize training for young musicians and coordinate the efforts of dozens of volunteers.
We hope you will join our efforts with your contribution, whatever it may be!
But you won't come out of this empty handed! We have a series of rewards ready for you: from exclusive invitations to special events to recordings and one of a kind collectibles we have prepared many opportunities for you to enjoy this event from afar or right next door!
