DayenuMardi Gras Float 2018

Dayenu - Sydney’s Jewish LGBT+ Group needs help to fund our entry in Mardi Gras in March 2018. We appreciate all the support which led to marriage equality. However, our organisation remains seriously under-financed and under-resourced. Our presence at Mardi Gras sends a message to young Jewish folk who are in the closet or in the early stages of coming out, older folk who are socially-isolated, and others in need of support. There is a further benefit whereby it invigorates the ongoing conversation for more acceptance and inclusion of LGBT+ folk within the broader Jewish communal context. It also remains important to flag our Jewish existence within LGBT+ circles. We initially hope to fund the float, and any additional funds will resource outreach projects in the coming year.
