She is my daughter and mother of my grandchildren.
Dawn's body rejected radiation and because Doctors were unable to locate the original source of the cancer, she was unable to do chemo.
Dawn lives on a small pension and has incurred medical cost of travelling to appointments and most recently has been informed there is a treatment available that may help the insistant coughing that is causing her chronic, severe pain, unfortunately
pharmacare does not cover the cost of these injection treatments in
B.C.
Pharmacare has, after considerable persuasion agreed to cover some treatments short term.
Dawn will need ongoing treatment and the cost of the injections will be $2,500 per shot (1 shot per month), she will also be facing further medical expenses as time progresses.
Dawn is a lover of life, a strong fighter, she is a mother of 2 and is not ready to throw in the towel. Please help support Dawn in receiving medical treatment to make her more comfortable while she is suffering the effects of stage 4 lung cancer. This treatment is the only hope for Dawn to have some relief from her pain and suffering.
We hold out hope that Pharmacare will make these treatments affordable in BC. if Dawn was a resident of ONTARIO her treatments would be covered.
