BECKY AND DAVID'S STORY:

When Becky and David first met in November of 1978 they had an instant connection!  It was their love of music and sense of humor that sealed the deal and before they knew it sparks flew!  It was an intense passion that sadly unraveled due to stresses in their lives but their love for each other was deeply embedded in their hearts.

The years flew by with marriages to others, children, divorce, grandchildren and the hard times that life unwittingly brings.  When Becky reached out to David after all the struggles in her life he was still there, waiting for her after all these years.  In fact he knew her voice immediately, easily remembering all the things he had loved about her. Soon their relationship was rekindled and they were married on May 4, 2013 right near the beautiful lake where they had carved their initials on a tree when they were young.  This was full circle for them.

It has been said by many people that the love Becky and David have for each other is inspiring as they are so devoted to each other’s care and happiness.  When the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 cancer and all of its ramifications became clear, it became increasingly important for Becky to hold tight to David; to get him the best care and to take time off from work to help him recover from surgery.  David promised Becky 40 years of his love in his wedding vows and Becky is determined to make that happen.  As Becky says, “God did not bring us together again after all this time to take David away from me.”

As you all know, the costs of disease, especially cancer, are astronomical.  David has already had chemo and radiation, surgery, and will again be starting intense treatment which will last for a very long time.  He is unable to work right now so Becky is the sole income provider.  As you may or may not know, Becky has MS which makes this struggle all the more real.  On the days that she doesn’t feel good enough to go to work she has no choice.  She still has to go grocery shopping, clean the house, and last but certainly not least, care for her David.

THIS IS A PLEA FOR YOUR HELP.   By making a donation (of any amount) you are helping David with his medical bills, helping put groceries on the table, and making their life a little bit easier during a difficult and critical time.  Your prayers and your love will help them get through this.
