David(Bubba) Sette was involved in the awful freak electrocution accident at the Fleming Athletic Complex on 10-15-2018. David and 3 others were very brave in their efforts to help him and his fellow football player, Melquan Robbinson, who unfortunately lost his life due to the electrocuition. David was electrocuted on a concerning level where he has blisters where the electricity left his body. He was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia at Augusta University where he was admitted into the pediatric intensive care unit. He suffers from a condition that causes the muscles to break down in his body due to the high electric voltage that passed through him. David is very distraught and traumatized by the incident due to witnessing the death of his football friend Melquan. We will spend at least the next few days here at Augusta Univeristy. This has put and will continue to put a strenuous amount of financial hardships for the entire family as we all have to shift our schedules to accomodate the hospital stay and to see David Through the recovery process. David also has 3 other siblings that are usually cared for by his mother but due to her having to take care of David until he improves other arrangements are having to be made and all of this has created financial hardships and the family can use your help with any donations Possible. The family thanks the community for the huge outpour of thoughts and prayers.+ Read More
Bubba has made such a huge impact on the entire WORLD! Proud is an understatement!!!! I love my babies more than anything in the world. Their football pics came in and I just want to cry bc they are growing up so fast.
Things have been crazy busy. But i wanted to update everyone on Bubba. He was released from the hospital yesterday. We had the candlelight vigil last night in honor of Melquan. I was atstonished by the way everyone came together for this. Bubba is very emotionally traumatized. He doesn’t know how to express himself and it’s going to be a long journey for him. He will be mentally affected by this event for the rest of his life. He is an amazing young boy and deserves the world. We will have regular Doctor visits and counseling for quite some time to follow. I struggle with major stress from the fear of not being able to make it financially. That’s a burden that some very special people have helped to ease off some for me. There will continue to be medical bills and expenses that are uncontrollable. I will continue to pray that God will touch the lives of those that have given to us selflessly already. And I will pray that God will continue to move mountains for us and doing so by placing very special people in our path that will touch our lives in ways i never imagined and all in response to the brave actions our boys took to save Melquans life. I can’t say thank you enough to the ones that have been here for us bc we wouldn’t be able to get through these difficult times without all of you.
