Our friend Dave Fisher has been diagnosed with cancer. Let's help him beat it. Dave is going to roll a D20 Crit (that's a D&D reference) and kick cancer's butt, but he is going to need some help. The unfortunate truth is that Cancer is expensive. Insurance covers a lot, about 80%, but there will be bills.

One round of chemotherapy can last 6-9 months. Let's make sure they have what they need to feel safe, secure and comfortable. The treatment takes its toll on every aspect of your life. It can be hard to work full-time when you are being pumped full of chemotherapy drugs, and Comcast probably gave Dave cancer so they won't care why a bill might be late.

This fund is for Dave and Sharon to use at their sole discretion. All donations will be turned over to Dave and Sharon. Any funds that remain after Dave is in remission will be donated to a cancer research fund of Dave and Sharon's choosing.

Your donation will cover things such as:

• Expected medical bills and deductibles
• Unexpected medical bills
• Rent / Bills
• Work days that Dave is going to miss, treatment and otherwise
• CCCF: Cancer & Chemo Comfort Food (its sort of like being pregnant, but with cancer)
• Transportation to and from treatment for Dave and Sharon
• Financial cushion for Dave and Sharon so that they don’t feel like the capitalist juggeranut will chew them up and spit them out if they just need to take a day off and vomit together.

Don't know how much to donate? Here are some ideas!

Hi everyone. I just want to write and let everyone know that after chemo, surgery and a horrific waiting period in which Dave bravely hung around waiting to see if the spot on his liver grew.

It did not, and his prognosis is very good. Thank you again for all your help.

Hello Friends of Dave,

We are happy to announce that Dave had his last Chemo session yesterday!

Hi final screen will be in about a month but he will be feeling better soon and once we get final confirmation that we kicked cancer's ass then we can pop proverbial bottles.

Dave and Sharon have had difficulty expressing the depth of their gratitude for all that this group has done. Dave recently had a day of felling not completely terrible, and he spent most of it writing thank you notes and paying bills.

We have done wonderful work. If we can please share this one more time we can give Dave and Sharon that last push they need into post-cancer life.

Cheers,

Friends of Dave
