Dave "Smitty" Schmitz

As many of you know, our dad, Smitty, is in the St Cloud Hospital currently being treated for heart issues. Our dad went to the Douglas County Hospital on March 1st with bad chest pains. After several hours of testing, he was sent home with what they thought was bronchitis. After taking medication for a couple of days, things were not improving, so on Friday the 3rd, he went back to the hospital and was taken via ambulance to St Cloud. They concluded he had had a heart attack, and further testing was needed. After reviewing the tests, they found 100%,99%, and 90% blockage on 8 of his arteries. The doctors tried to put stints in this morning with no luck. The team of doctors and surgeons are going to try to figure out another plan tomorrow with the hope of avoiding a 2nd open heart surgery procedure. With all this said, we are trying to help them out as our dad will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. We do not want them to worry about bills and such while he receives care and tries to get better. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!
