Veteran Moving Expenses
Posted by Kara Myers
I wanted to provide an update. First of all, thank you so very much to each and every one of you that have donated and/or shared the donation page and story. Your contribution, kindness, and generosity means so very much to us!
As far as an update on our veteran, WWP has reached out and offered assistance. They are coordinating the effort to get our veterans benefits back, along with help on his prosthetic issues. They have already made some progress so far! We are currently in the process of getting his move coordinated and a new place to live.
Again, thank you all so very much from the bottom of our hearts for your support! Our little neighborhood in Texas has been absolutely amazed by all of you and your willingness to help our wounded warrior!
If he needs a ride to Mississippi let me know and i'll load his stuff up on a weekend and take him there. Only going to be in Texas for a couple more weeks so time is short.
I guess not taking any more donations...?
Please people, learn that the military and US government are not on our side. they are using our sons and daughters for elite and corporate goal acquisitions. :( So many forms of wrong. I am making a contribution now.
so happy to see people helping people here
Please call William Haberlach. He is a local attorney who frequently works with vets through The Center for Non Profit Legal Services.
WWP wants contact info for the vet. Can you help me here? PS wwp helps vets that served since 9/11/01. Does this vet fit in the right time
Here is the article. The man who commented is Clark Street. http://www.cbs12.com/news/top-stories/stories/vid_18676.shtml?wap=0&
There was a story done and someone made a comment about offering him a house rent free in Mississippi. If you send me a message on Facebook I can give a screenshot of the person.
P.S. Several of us are wondering where in Mississippi he is trying to get to. People are wondering so that we can try and help him when he gets here. I am on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where we have the Navy Seabee Base and Keesler Air Force Base. If you can give us a heads up where he's going, we can work on our end to make sure he's got support when he gets here. One guy in Wayne County has even offered him a free place to live. Feel free to contact me through Facebook. :-)
I am an art psychotherapist. If he is anywhere near Jackson ms. I would be willing to work with him . I have had great results with PTSD.
I've posted the article and this link on several Facebook and Twitter accounts to get the word out. I'm in Mississippi, and we will do what we can to bring this veteran back home to his family in Mississippi.
You have a big family remember that!
I would be more than happy to help with his benefits. I have helps hundreds of wounded warriors and have never lost a claim. I volunteer all of my time. Just let me know. There are federal laws that he is entitled to and that are obviously not being followed.
Hopefully our Veterans Administration can get back on track and start helping these guys.
Hey brother we are behind you 100% .
We were just down there this month delivering a trike to a wounded veteran. Boston Ma to San Antonio
