Darwins TPLO surgery

I just adopted Darwin a couple weeks ago.  I saw this old man and I had to have him! Hes so sweet I call him my cuddle bug! When I adopted him I was told he had an ACL surgery in the past that healed wrong and has severe arthritis so I was given medication to help with the pain. I took him to my vet to get a better look to see how the healing was coming along and when she pulled up the X-rays we saw that he needed a TPLO (tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy) She referred us to the surgeon who took more X-rays and explained to us that he has bone to bone rubbing in his leg on top of his arthritis so hes double pain. Hes only 7 and a Australian Cattle Dog which lives to be 15 years old. My boyfriend and I want Dar to have the best life full of love and opportunity our goal is to make sure he is in significantly less pain and not living on pain medication for the rest of his life which damages liver and kidneys with long term usage! We want to give this boy what he deserves and that's the best life the world has to offer. When the surgeon gave us the go for surgery we were ecstatic it could be done but the price is so high so we turn to the community to help lend a hand. Any donation big or small is so much appreciated and gets us one step closer to bettering this sweet boys life!
