Phase 3!!!!

As many of you know, wrestlers can be a prideful group - which makes this a difficult ask. 

Darkhorse Wrestling has arrived at the point where we need to reach out to our extended wrestling family and ask for help with a large capital campaign.  Simply put, our club is at a critical juncture and will need to replace our mats over the next several months to provide for the continued safety of our wrestlers.  The goal of this capital campaign is to raise approximately $10,000 so we can replace all of our mats.  Your generous and tax-deductible support of our team's fundraiser will be 100% directed toward replacing these worn-out mats and, to the extent of any excess, to make other necessary repairs and improvements to our facility.

As you can see from the pictures below, our wrestling mats are comprised of a hodge-podge collection of used, cracked and worn-out mats that were acquired from other wrestling programs over the years.  These mats are clearly reaching the end of their useful life and will need to be replaced within the next 6-12 months, before they become unsafe.  We have received multiple quotes from mat vendors and have settled on Resilite as our mat provider. Our plan is to replace our old mats in phases, throughout the upcoming year, as we raise the necessary funds for their replacement.  




As Darkhorse Wrestling enters it’s 6th full year of operation, we are proud to have helped hundreds of young athletes achieve their personal goals, which range from winning their first match to becoming state and national champions!  We have achieved this by sticking with our basic tenet of putting the "kids first" in everything we do and by adhering to our stated mission of affecting positive outcomes in kids through wrestling.  There is no doubt that we are making a difference to our members and to our community.
