Daring Way in Uganda

Donation protected

I am heading back to Uganda in the summer of 2019 to use my skills to empower women and girls with activities from The Daring Way Curriculum. I will be volunteering with S.O.U.L. Foundation, an incredible organization that focuses on women's empowerment, education, maternal health, and food security. Together we will talk courage, vulnerability, and self-compassion.

My passion for Uganda came eight years ago when I had the opportunity to serve in the 2010 Invisible Children Teacher Exchange Program to teach English/Language Arts at Sir Samuel Baker school in Gulu. The spirit of the Ugandan people and community stole my heart. It has been my dream to return and use my new skills with women and girls through workshops and education.

My work as Daring Way Facilitator using the curriculum of Dr. Brené Brown and her research on shame, vulnerability, and courage gives me the opportunity to guide women in building resiliency skills in order to transform the way they live, love, parent, and lead.

THE DARING WAY™

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings and is suitable for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders.

The money I raise will cover the cost of travel, food, lodging, as well as the cost of shipping workshop and lesson supplies.
