Costa Rica Immersion (mission trip)

Hi guys! I have some very exciting new to share with you all. Throughout these past couple of months I have been applying to go on a mission trip with An organization called Experience Mission and the craziest thing happened... I GOT ACCEPTED! •Many of you know that I'm a senior this year and as much as I wish it wasn't, senior year is pretty stressful. Between deciding where I want to go to college, what I want to study, and applying to scholarships, I think it's safe to say that that's a recipe to creating a very confused girl. I felt that no matter what profession or college I chose, I was missing something and I felt that I was made for more than just going to college, starting a job and working my life away. I knew that no matter what career I chose I knew I wanted to help people and I felt like I had a purpose. As I began praying and reading my Bible the Lord revealed to me that I do have a purpose through the verse Mark 16:15, " He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." As I stayed persistent in prayer I felt drawn to being a part of helping and fulfilling what God set on my heart to do. I know He has greater plans for me and He will help me to know what I'm supposed to choose as my career. I have been praying and I am putting all of my trust in Him.•And to add to all the excitement, I should tell you guys that this mission trip is 3 MONTHS and it starts on AUGUST 28, 2017 and goes to NOVEMBER 10, 2017. I'll be going to a language academy for 3 weeks in San Jose (gaining 9-12 transferable foreign lang. credit hours for college) and then moving to a little village. He is mentally, emotionally, and spiritually preparing me for this trip and I believe that this is something everyone should have the opportunity to do. I'm excited to see what He does in my life as well as the people I travel with and meet.•While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and my fellow missionaries. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Costa Rica. •Another way you can help is financially to accomplish the work God has planned.
