Memorial fund for Dan Ole Sapit

Our friend and colleague, Daniel Ole Sapit, passed away in a car accident in Kenya on February 4th. Dan hailed from the Mau Forest, in Narok County, and was married with six children.
Dan was involved with the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) for many years as the Anglophone Africa Indigenous Peoples Observer as well as the coordinator for the FCPF capacity building program managed by MPIDO (an NGO in Kenya). He truly lit up the room with his presence and smile. This is a great loss to his family, our work, and our community as a whole.
This fund will support Dan’s wife and children.
