Dan Ristrom Theft Recovery

If you're at this GoFundMe page it's because you've probably already have heard.  On the night of Monday, July 18 the tour trailer for the act Dan was on tour with was broken into in Wichita, KS and much of their touring gear was stolen.  Also if you're here it's likely because you know, or know of, Dan Ristrom.  If you've met him, had the absolute joy of playing with him like I have, or have just enjoyed a Surly with him, then you know that he's one of the good ones.  I've been lucky enough to share the stage, as well as  a great friendship, with Dan for about 10 years.  I started this page for a few reasons but the main one is this:  If you were in the position Dan is in now, he would, without a moments thought, do the same for you.  He is selfless and caring and would help any of us any way he could.  So i ask you to do the same.  Dan is an amazing bass player(and singer!) and makes his living by sharing his art.  For us to enjoy that gift Dan needs the tools to do so.   
With this break-in Dan has lost everything he needs to do what he's best at.  Amongst the items stolen were his Lakland Bass, Bass Amp, In-Ear Monitors, all his Bass accessories, much of his wardrobe, and his luggage.  All told he lost about $3500 worth of stuff. 
There were others affected by this terrible acts as well.  Thousands of dollars of gear was stolen and will ultimately need to be replaced.  So anything over and above our goal will be dispursed to other members of the act.  
So let's show Dan some love!  Let's get him back in business so we can all go listen to him play,shake what our mama gave us, and watch that big smile on his face!
