DANNY & FOXY FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES
2 weeks ago Pet Tails Rescue pulled DANNY & FOXY from a high kill SC shelter. These 1 1/2 year old Collie mix siblings were frozen in fear...unable to move and refusing to eat. Surrendered by their owner...their spirits were broken and they had given up on life. Thier SC foster mom stated that she has never seen two dogs more depressed in all her years of rescue.
Today both DANNY and FOXY were rushed to a SC vet as they continued to shut down over the past two weeks and their immune systems have been significantly compromised. They are both in high respiratory distress. FOXY is the more serious of the two...she is running a dangerously high fever and is suffering from anemia and anorexia. She has not eaten in over a week. DANNY just stopped eating what little he could get down. They are both signifcantly dehydrated.
We need help to save their lives. We cannot afford the medical expenses we are incurring for their treatment. Both Danny and Foxy are currently receiving IV treatments of multiple antibiotics. CBS's and X-rays have been recommended to help identify the cause and degree of their infections and Pet Tails Rescue cannot afford these costs. It is tentative right now whether they will need to be rushed to a ER MEDICAL CLINIC. Their lives rest in the balance. Not only are their spirits broken but now their beautiful bodies are shutting down as well.
