After 2 years of fighting melanoma cancer, Dan earned his angel wings on Saturday May 13, 2017.
He fought a hopefilled and faithful fight and is now painfree.
Dan is a man known by many from high school as a life long friend, from his practice as chiropractor, and from life as a son, brother, uncle, and Papa Dan.
He went to Mingus Union High School and graduated in 1980 known to many as "Danny" Nelson.
He went to Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA and returned to Cottonwood to start his practice in Oct 1996: Nelson Chiropractic. Dan was given hands to heal many others - restoring them to health from head to toe! Which extends]ed to kids, infants, and even pets!
He is survived by his mother, Leonor; sister, Raynee and husband, Oscar; nephew, Jordan.
As well as his daughter, Kristen;
his son, Danny;
and grandaughter, Scarlett (who adored him).
Dan even had a self portrait painted by one of his patients of the two of them together. And anyone who visited the office saw the infamous wall of pics of her!
As a community of people: friends, family, and patients, we are so grateful to all of you that took the time to reach out to Dan and show him your love and support through these last hard weeks and years of fighting cancer.
We love you Dan! You were such a kind hearted, always giving, and forever optimistic man who was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.
