Danielle's Handicapped Van

Donation protected
In 1995 I had a motor vehicle accident.  I was 19 years old at the time. I survived the accident with a severe head injury, a T-3 spinal cord injury, and multiple internal injuries. The first five tyears after my accident were the hardest. I had to not only figure out how to function in my daily life only having use of the top 1/3 of my body, but also how to deal with how the rest of the world viewed me. In 2000, I got my first handicapped van, allowing me a great deal of the independence I had lost. That van and all of the vans after it have been old vans that have constant issues. In the last few years myself and my twelve year old have been stuck on the side of the road several times.  I use an electric wheelchair therefore I can not travel in a regular vehicle. Without a vehicle I am unable to get Cameron to his activities. Thankfully family, friends, and community members have helped get him around, but I am unable to attend these important events with him.  I am a single parent and the head of my household.  I need a vehicle to function in the rural area that I live. Saving up the 6000.00 it will take to buy another old lowered floor van with hand controls that I need will take me well over a year. Saving 15000. feels like climbing the highest mountain in the world. I am asking all of you to help me get up this mountain a little faster.  If many people are able to donate a few dollars, you could all change our lives forever. Thank you all for your generocity.
