Dallas the Dachshunds’ Medical Care
Donation protected
Those of you who know me, know how much I love my family’s dog, Dallas. Sadly, at the end of May, my family noticed that he was having extreme difficulty walking, was in a lot of pain, and eventually lost the ability to feel and move his hind legs. When we took him to the emergency vet, he was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) which is a genetic condition that causes severe back pain and rear limb paralysis, and is known to affect Dachshunds and other breeds with longer backs. The veterinarians prognosis was that Dallas has a 40% chance of recovering and being able to walk again, and said that it’s highly likely that he will need to undergo surgery, which is extremely expensive and something my family cant handle right now. Right now, we are only able to treat Dallas’ condition with medication and crate rest treatment. Dallas is so incredibly special to us and we love him with all of our hearts. All we want is to see him happy, healthy and mobile again, so we’re reaching out to you guys, our friends and family, and asking for any support that you can afford to give. All help will be appreciated ❤️ Thank you so much!
