Dakota Medical Tests
Donation protected
In term 4 of Dakota year 3 class her teacher told us that she needed to see a OT as she was falling behind in her work and she was concerned. After seeing the OT we were referred to a Physio who has found that Dakota left leg is shorter then the right. We have also found out that Dakota left side of her body is seriously weaker then her right side.
We are in the process of having speech and language assessment completed as well as having to see an ENT, Podiatrist, Dietitian as well as a pediatrician to have an MRI done as there are a lot of symptoms that the OT is concerned about
As the left side of her body is weaker Dakota becomes fatigued easier and even after playing a game of netball of a Saturday will spend most of the afternoon sleeping to recover from this.
These tests are very expensive and as i am trying to apply for NDIS funding i will need to have some of these tests done for us to apply for NDIS funding.
