Dad of 3 Diagnosed with Cancer

On Tuesday, June 5th, my world was turned upside down.  My father, the strongest, most infallible person that I know, told me that he was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer.  While I was digesting the most gut wrenching words I have ever heard, he continued to explain the logistics through my haze.  The prognosis is good, chemo and radiation for 6 weeks, and that he isn't going anywhere.  I've held onto that for the past two weeks and now with treatment having begun today, reality is beginning to sink in.  We will get through this, we will be fine, we are fortunate in so many ways.  My dad is the sole financial provider for our family, and his employers are being absolutely wonderful and supportive through all of it.  That being said, no one can be financially prepared to afford to the kind of treatment that he (and many others) requires.  If you are in a place to support some of the costs of chemo and radiation, we would be forever grateful.  Having some of the financial burden of being diagnosed with cancer lifted would allow his, and all of our spirits to be lifted and allow us to focus on healing.  If you know him, you know that my dad loves helping others and would do anything to help anyone, especially in this situation.  However, he does not ask for help well, so I am doing so for him.  Prayers; well wishes; thoughts; good vibes; and if you are able, financial support is very much needed and appreciated as we all trudge through this journey we are being sent on.  My dad has always been there for me and supported me through everything and I want to show him that I, and others have his 6.
