Adam and Jillian Reed Family Fund

Donation protected
On June 4, 2018, shortly after helping his parents move furniture, my brother in law, Adam Reed collapsed, unresponsive. He was life flighted to UT Medical Center to find out he had suffered two aneurysms and a stroke which was bleeding into his brain. All this at the young age of 39.

Adam is a devoted father to his two children and a loving husband of 19 years to my sister, Jillian. They are an active part of their community and very involved in church and sports. He has coached softball, been active in church, and active in local politics.

As you can imagine, injuries this serious come with a huge price tag. Like so many families, you have a rainy day fund but something like this busts it completely. Jillian and Adam always have everyone’s back in a time of crisis and would never ask for what they consider a “handout”.  When something like this happens, there just isn’t enough to go around, causing secondary stress in an already hugely stressful situation.

As family and friends and Christians, we are called to help out our family in need. They have cherished your prayers and visits and inquiries but if you could find in your heart to help them pay some of their medical bills, I know they would be grateful. They have not asked but I know they will need the help. Jillian has yet to find out how much the ambulance and life flight that spared her husbands life will cost. They have a deductible of over 13,000 for insurance.

Adam is expected to be in the hospital for at least 14-21 more days. He cannot use his left leg as of yet and has weakness in his left arm. He is still having seizures and just had another procedure done to inject medicine into his brain and help prevent more strokes from happening. It is more than likely he will need skilled care in a facility after the hospital for another few weeks.

Anything you can give would be so greatly appreciated and I know several people have asked how they can help this sweet family. So many of us love them. They need to be surrounded and lifted up in this time of need. I know that my Lord is beside them at this time walking through this valley with them.

Thank you for reading this and any prayers or consideration you may extend.
