Daniel's Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
My name is Daniel Knorr, and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 88 in Fairfield, Connecticut. To reach the rank of Eagle Scout, one must organize and carry out a service project that benefits an organization other than Scouting. I have the privilege of working with the Norma F. Pfriem Urban Outreach Initiative. The group operates out of the United Congregational Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and serves meals to those in need, functions as a clothing closet, and even as an overflow shelter during the winter months.

With so many functions, the space the group has must be utilized in the most efficient way possible. Currently, the storage of their clothing donations limits their capacity to serve as an overflow shelter, as they have the cots, but lack the floor space.

My goal is to build multiple high-strength rolling shelves that can be used to store the closet items in a way that uses less floor space and can be rolled into different spaces as the group’s functions require.

Please lend your support to a fantastic organization that truly does amazing work and help me make a difference in one of Connecticut’s neediest communities.
