Columbia Police K-9 officer Chris B Williams and his family are true salt of the earth people. They have 3 courageous children and one on the way. The youngest, Claire, is fast approaching her 3rd birthday. The epic floods of South Carolina has swept everything away. All the appliances, floors, walls, even Claire's toys and shoes. Flood insurance is astronomically high for a working class family to afford so we are all helping the best we can. He will need to basically replace his entire main floor area including wash room, kitchen, dining room and den. It's all gone.
Their spirits are the opposite of the condition of the home. Chris and Catherine have had smiles and positive attitudes the entire time. I asked Catherine about setting this page up and she said, "there are so many who have lost everything. If our needs are met can we give what's left over to others?" Of course they can. That's the makeup if this family. Others first.
With this page I would like to put them first.

I am Jim Miles, Major with the USC Police Department. Chris graduated from the University of South Carolina and started his law enforcement career with the USCPD. He then moved onto the Columbia Police Department and I have maintained a close relationship with him ever since. I consider him my brother. These funds will go toward repairing and replacing his entire floor throughout the bottom of his home, his walls and any damage underneath the walls to the wood, his air-conditioning unit, power to his home, all of his appliances were located downstairs and must be replaced, he lost all of his furniture from downstairs such as sofa loveseat chairs kitchen furniture, they lost television sets, games for the kids, his youngest lost most of her toys, he lost numerous tools, and they lost much clothing. These funds will go to not only replace these things but for the labor and materials for professionals to come in and fix what can be fixed or repaired or replaced.
