My visit to some clinics in Ghana gave me a grave sense of concern and an outmost desire to help a lot of children, women and the poor to get access to basic healthcare needs.
Some of the basic healthcare equipment, apparatus and medical devices/aids e.g. disposable syringes/ needles, gloves etc. most of us take for granted are lacking at these clinics, something that are life saving for the majority of visiting patients to these clinics. These pictures tell a lot of the reality these patients face day in day out where some of these people have to travel about 5km to 10km only to wait in long queues for treatment. Some even do not get the needed treatment on the same day of arrival due to lack of equipment or the need to disinfect some equipment in use.
You would be amazed how the little that you could donate in cash or kind will result in a better treatment, prevention of diseases as well as putting smiles in the faces of children, moms and the poor.
