CWS Carnegie Hall Concert 2018

We are the Christopher Wren Singers, the oldest acapella group at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. This fall we are celebrating our 30th anniversary since our founding in 1987! Our unique repertoire includes madrigals, spirituals, jazz, Gospel, contemporary choral pieces, holiday tunes and the like. We're a fun group of people and we really care about music.
Just a week ago we got some amazing news. We were invited to perform at the King's Singers 50th anniversary concert in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City next April! This performance follows a weekend filled with workshops and rehearsals with world-class composers, Bob Chilcott and Simon Carrington, as well as the King's Singers themselves, as organized by the Distinguished Concerts in New York program. We are all very excited to embark on this journey, but we realized that this trip will be an enormous undertaking. Our tour fund will contribute towards workshop fees, sheet music, transportation expenses, accommodation, rentals, and meals. In order to turn this tremendous opportunity into reality we will need your help. Performing at a venue at Carnegie Hall's level is truly a dream come true for the Wrens. We would love to have all of our current members and any new members participate, so we would be tremendously grateful for anything that you are willing to give.
