Im proud to be helping and raising money for one month starting February 1st until we fly the money out to Kenya on March 1st and help building the amazing dream room. The Rockstars team will be working a whole day with that days proceeds put towards the final amount raised it doesn’t matter how little or large your donation it will all 100% be going to the cause. Even sharing this and helping raise awareness would be massively appreciated.
▪ Poverty drives many Kenyan children away from home, to the streets, and into a life of crime and drug dependency.
 
▪ The government’s solution is to place them into a juvenile detention centre, where they spend the majority of their time neglected & idle.
 
▪ Here the children often feel unseen and forgotten. Hopeless.
 
We believe every child has the right to an education and a childhood.
 
The Dream Room
 
Together we can make a significant and meaningful difference.
 
By transforming this disused classroom, together we can create a safe place where the children will learn, read, and be inspired.
 
Children’s lives will be transformed from hopelessness to hope. They will develop inner-strength to overcome adversity and encouraged to make good life choices - ending the cycle of crime and poverty.

Background:
 
The ‘Dream Room’ is located in Kisumu Children’s Remand Home, located in Kisumu, Western Kenya.
 
It is home to around 80 children, both boys and girls - aged from 5 to 17.
 
**All** money raised will transform a disused classroom from an empty shell to a welcoming, fun place. It will be resourced into a library with wall murals, furniture, and arts and crafts.
 
This will be a place where the children will be free to express their creativity through art, drama, singing and music.  
 
It will also serve as a safe place where the children will be counselled by social workers and staff.
