Custody for Abused Son

Donation protected

My son is a victim of child abuse.

Over the last year I have been aware of the abuse my son has been experiencing at the hands of his mother, his custodial parent. Social services was contacted twice, once by me and once by her ex boyfriend. Both times, she was deemed by Child Protective Services to be "No threat to her children". Three days ago however, my son's grandmother, my ex's mother, sent me pictures of my son's arm, bruised on both sides. My son stated that she had punched him over and over again, and grabbed him because he didn't like the shirt she picked out for him.

These bruises were found after my son had told his grandmother that he hadn't had a bath in a week. She removed his clothes to find the bruises. After the shower concluded, she went to retrieve my son's clothes, and his mother had sent none with him. She decided to send no clothes with him to spend a week with his grandmother. His grandmother then had to go out and buy him some, just so he would have them to wear. He has been abused and neglected and because of this, any money we are given beyond that which is needed for a lawyer and court fees, will be used to buy him a brand new wardrobe full of clothes. "I try my best." and "I don't have anything to wear." Aren't things a nine year old boy should be saying, so we are going to rectify it.

Immediately after sending me those pictures she and my son went to Social Services in person and my son told them everything. He told them that he was scared of her and didn't want to go back, and even told them to their face that he wanted to live with us. They even saw the bruises for themselves. They claimed that an investigation would be mounted, but still no action has been taken.

My ex has physically and emotionally abused my son for years, we found out, and even told him once to hit her ex boyfriend with a baseball bat because he made her mad. Not only does she abuse her son, but uses him as a collaborator of further abuse.

His grandmother tried to keep him from her, but she sent a couple of her friends to retrieve him. My son hid under his grandmother's bed he was so scared to return home.

This is not the first time he has been abused by her. When my son was four a picture was posted to facebook, by my ex, of my son crying, being held down in lingerie. We called the cops on her, but again... No action was taken.

We have had enough, the bruises, the abuse, the stories that he has told us (and social services), the consistent want to live with us, the fear of her. It has reached a crescendo that cannot be avoided, and I am begging for help. We need enough money to be able to afford a lawyer to get him out of that abusive home and into a loving one. My entire family, and even my ex's entire family are working together to make his life worth living, we simply need support and money to get him as far away from her as possible.

Please help us help my son, before it is too late.
