Thank you to my cousin for making me this to help me out.

Harlow is 3 months old and is currently in a coma due to a skull fracture that caused her brain to swell and bleed. She couldn’t stop having seizures so they put her brain to sleep to give it time to heal. We are in a great hospital in Orlando and I’ve been told by the doctor that she has cerebral palsy but they don’t know to what extent. She will have disabilities for the rest of her life due to the severity of her injury but she is alive and I am forever grateful to this hospital for that. I was working full time and paying all of the bills and there’s no way I can leave my baby here at the hospital and go back to work so please share this in hopes of getting some donations to help my two children and I. Thank you so much for your help.

They put a feeding tube into her nose so she’s getting to have her soy formula for the first time tonight.

I just spoke with the Pediatric Intensivist and she said she’s worried about Harlow cognitively. She said she doesn’t know if she will ever walk or talk because the brain damage is all over her brain and not just one area. She said if one day she does she will be the first to jump for joy but she wants me to know she’s concerned that she won’t. I’m trying to accept these words and process the fact that I might never hear my little girl’s voice.

My baby girl is 3 months old today. She’s still weaning off of fentanyl and also on methadone so she doesn’t have withdrawal symptoms from it. The neuro doctor came in and showed me the MRI and told me the following: she has a hematoma on the left and right in her head, also small patches of blood on the top, both drains are out because of risk of infection after they had been in for one week but if the fluid builds back up they will have to go into surgery and place the drain from the brain down the inside of her body and into an “empty area in the stomach”
I asked if she will ever walk and he said he can’t give me that answer. Kids with cerebral palsy can walk and some cannot. Time will tell. She will be getting a feeding tube so she can start having formula. Once her lungs are ready to live off of the ventilator it can come out which he believes is this weekend. Lastly, he said once the ventilator does come out we will be able to go home two weeks after that.

Harlow is now completely off of pentobarbital as of noon time and hasn’t had any seizure activity. Some more good news is she will be getting the left drain tube removed from her skull shortly. The right drain tube is still putting out too much blood and fluid to remove so it’s staying in. She will be having an MRI on Wednesday so I’ll know more then and will update once the doctor explains what he sees. My baby girl is so strong.
