Their lives changed forever on May 20, 2015. Norma and Oscar's oldest daughter Jasmine( 15) was diagnosed with cancer(Ewing Sarcoma). The tumor forms in either the bone or soft tissue within the body. Her tumor was found in her jawline.
Jasmine immediately began the first of 17 (3 week) rounds of aggresive chemotherapy. This young lady has has endured many trips to the ER , and major surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. She's a chemo ninja and still has 4 more rounds of chemotherapy to complete. We are certain that Jasmine will beat this and someday soon resume a "normal" life.
If you've ever encountered Jasmine she's a humble and caring soul with the most beautiful sparkling brown eyes. She also posses incredible artistic abilities. I could go on and on about Jasmine but trust me if you don't know her now you definitely will know who she is in the future. Great things await this beauty.
At this time I'm asking for donations to help pay for medical bills and medication. Pharmaceutical companies have high priced drugs and treatment plans that make it very difficult to afford. No amount is too small and any amount will be very much appreciated by the family. We encourage anyone and everyone to share this post!!We'd like to reach our goal before 5/20/2016
Cancer sucks!!! I can't stress enough that any amount will be helpful in assisting the Astorga-Jalomo family. Thank you all for your time and donations.
In additon to this fundraiser there will be an adults only Jasmine Rocks benefit on Saturday March 26, 2016 @ the Double Play Saloon located at 13011 S. Western in Blue Island and will be from 6-10 pm.
Norma would like for me to give you all a quick update. Jasmine is currently undergoing her 5 day chemo treatment. So far so good.
From the bottom of Norma's heart she'd like to thank everyone for their generous donations and well wishes.
Thank you all so much it's a beautiful thing to see so many of you help Jasmine and her family. Blessings to you all!!
