These timeless words by Margaret Mead inspired the vision of CTCTW - Children that Change the World. We believe that every child is a world changer but limiting factors like the lack of necessary tools and support system can prevent children from achieving their potentials. Our goal is to assist children by providing tools necessary to maximize their talents and skills, beginning from Ogbomoso, Nigeria to the rest of the world. We are achieving our goal by providing in-person workshops to school students and by giving them the opportunity to air on a radio platform. Every week, for 30 minutes on Saturday evenings, more than 10,000 young ones (apart from adults) are tuned in to Parrot 101.1 FM, Ogbomoso, to experience their favorite educational radio show: Children that Change the World. The goal of this radio programme is equipping these young ones with the indispensable tools of creativity and critical thinking, to ensure their relevance in the knowledge economy of the 21st Century.
Many children of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, are under-served and don't have access to quality educational processes needed for their successes. Ogbomoso is quite large and as such, facility-based interventions have had minimal effects because only few clusters of children have benefited from such.
