CRUISE THE COAST CYCLING FUNDRAISER
Cruisethecoast.org for more info
In May, 2017, Shayne Carlson (and whomever wants to come along for any section) will Cruise the Coast on his late father’s bike for the entire American Pacific West coast, from the USA/Canada border to the USA/Mexico border.. This is a tribute and a fundraiser.
Cruise the Coast is a tribute to anyone affected by war and is in honor of Shayne’s Father, “Chief” Carlson, a decorated Special Operations Soldier who was killed in Afghanistan, 2003.
Chief was the epitome of a warrior and family man. Admired by everyone he met, his strong and playful demeanor inspired many to fear nothing and to fight for what is right. In life and death, his actions as a father, husband, and soldier are the embodiment of the Special Operations Community. “Our story reflects many others’ unfortunate circumstances; this is an opportunity to pay it forward and give respect to all who have sacrificed for peace and war.”
Shayne is using this bicycle trip of approximately 2000 miles to raise awareness and funds for Team RWB.
