Hello! First, I want to thank you for visiting my campaign. Secondly, I am excited to officially announce the plans I have for Blankets of Blessings. Since the latter part of July, I have been making preparations to transform Blankets of Blessings into a Non-Profit. My original plan was to have this part completed by the end of the year, however, due to the financial situation I was in, I was delayed in my efforts. There may still be time God willing, but everything happens in its own time, so I am not rushing anything.
Starting a Non-Profit does of course require the payment of several fees, etc. This is the main reason I’ve been on hold for the past few months. Most of you are aware of my financial situation that I'm still proactively working to diminish, but these things take time and dedication.

How It Started:
I began to knit blankets and sell them to help offset the costs of my own medical expenses that are associated with the treatment of Crohn’s Disease. Upon the start of advertising the blankets I make, I discovered that not many people I knew, knew I even had Crohn’s Disease. Since then, I've started planning to turn Blankets of Blessings into a non-profit that educates my community and assists the children in my community that are dealing with the effects of Crohn’s and Colitis. Though I was diagnosed at the young age of 16, I hope to continue to be a strong and brilliant light of hope to those around me with similar circumstances, helping in any way that I can.
Funding Plan
I plan to use the funds to:
1) Launch my Non-Profit, including all the start-up fees and necessary name trademarking (Articles of Incorporation, etc.).
2) Set aside another portion of the money to begin preparations for a local 5K that will raise awareness for Crohn's and Colitis.
3) Invest the remaining funds to start the pool of donation money that will eventually be able to provide direct funding to those who come to the Foundation for assistance.
