Crossing the Caribbean with Hope

Matthew 9:35-38

35  And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36  But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion....

Together we can make A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE TODAY.....AND FOR ETERNITY

The people in Latin America and the islands of the Caribbean live in societies with little to no middle class. You either live a life of luxury or you live in poverty. We are committed to providing the impoverished with medical help they only dream of receiving, and of providing compassionate help following natural disasters.

TOUCH THE BODY....TOUCH THE SOUL

Our Lord and Savior tended to physical as well as spiritual needs of people during his earthly ministry.  We want to do the same through conducting short term medical clinics and disaster relief missions, while sharing the Gospel and love of God.

Many organizations currently do similar missions, but what sets us apart is we conduct our missions via a small ship.  The boat’s name is SEA HOPE.   We are teaming up with Operation Renewed Hope (www.renewedhope.org) to do medical, dental, and eye care clinics as well as disaster relief missions, and BEAMS Bibles (www.beamsbibles.com) to distribute bibles.   Sea Hope will initially operate out of Gulfport, Mississippi.

SEA HOPE can carry tons of supplies to support relief operations following a natural disaster such as hurricanes or earthquakes.  Not only could we minister to those directly affected by the disaster, but also to other relief workers.  The boat could offer warm meals, hot showers, and clean bunks.

This is a multi-purpose ministry, and this ship has the flexibility to meet all of our needs.

We are Buddy and Mary Puryear.  We retired from a 30 year navy career where I served as a nuclear submarine officer.  We thought our service time was over, but over the last 3 years God developed a deep burden and desire in our hearts to help the less fortunate people of the Caribbean Islands and the coastal regions of Latin America.

Everyone involved with the ministry is a non-paid volunteer; there are no salaries or other compensation.  Every dollar received goes directly to support the operation of SEA HOPE.

Thank you for your interest in sending help to those less fortunate.  Please donate, and please share this with your friends and contacts.
