Cross Lake Students Visit

We are so happy to announce that students and educators from Cross Lake are coming to Toronto! In order to show them a great time, we need your help!
These funds will help Cross Lake and Toronto teens build relationships and support Mikisew students in Cross Lake. This year we are asking for your support to purchase:
- books and resource materials to take home with them
- travel expenses for Cross Lake and Toronto students to get around the city and see the sights together.
Background:
After Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Cross Lake, Manitoba declared a state of emergency due to a rash of teen suicides, we ask he principal and staff of Mikisew School how we could help? We are a group of educators and students in Toronto, ON who are asking for your help raising funds to support Mikisew School.
Our schools have been featured in the news. During Orange Shirt Day in Toronto students were interviewed while raising awareness about Residential School Survivors and fundraising for Cross Lake! See our Orange Shirt Day event and media coverage here:
