Cromwell's Ukrainian Adoption!

Hi! We're  Brad & Kristin Cromwell. Thank you for taking the time to read our story! WHO we are: In a nutshell, we're an average family that loves the outdoors of Idaho & our Friday pizza/movie nights in our living room! A little deeper? Ok. We've been married for 23 years. We have 8 children (2 biological & 6 adopted)...with only 4 left living at home. God has given us hearts for the orphans. We've been foster parents on & off our entire married lives. Throughout those years we've been blessed by several adoptions, some being biological sibling groups. At this point in our lives, we thought our family was complete... We thought... WHAT: In the summer of 2017 we made a last minute decision to answer the plea of a hosting agency trying to place orphans from Ukraine into US homes for 11 weeks. The idea is to get them out of the orphanage life for a small period of time & let them feel the love & joy of a family. We figured we could do that! We brought into our home a sweet, non-english speaking, spunky 8 year old...and loved every minute with her! She quickly bonded with us & became a part of our family. Her and our (at the time) 10 year old daughter became best friends...a friendship that surpassed all language barriers! Giggling is universal! But, this is a hosting program. She had to return to her orphanage. And, on that horribly heartbreaking summer day, she did. Our hearts ached. We sobbed. She sobbed. We considered adoption. How couldn't we? I mean, this is a child...not a photo, not a name listed...a real, loving, scared, desparate, kind, child of God! We can't just wish her luck & hope someone comes along to give her a family. No. We must DO something! But, there's more to it. She is not alone. She has 3 teenage siblings who also need to be adopted. So, in the Winter of 2017 we rehosted our sweet "D"...and this time 2 of her older siblings joined! We grew to love their individual personalities & could see God working in their hearts as they softened & allowed themselves to begin bonding with us. This was confirmation...we would pursue adoption of the entire sibling group, of 4! HOW? Well, we're leaving this is God's hands! We don't have all the answers. This is no easy task! But, we do know this is what we're called to do. So, we're stepping out in faith! Will you join us on this adventure?
